Beyond the religious reference, Santa Cruz evokes for me the wonderful memories of a place where I loved to recharge my batteries when I lived in Cuba. I see again the long white sand beaches between Havana and Matanza Santa Cruz. A symbol of beauty and tropical nature, punctuated by the percussions and trumpets of the Guiro. Today, I find the evocation of it in Goa, next to my house, where there is a pretty little white chapel named Santa Cruz.
